The Service Map is an interactive web application which helps users discover and search for local, physical services available in their city. Included are public municipal services like schools, day care centers and health stations, but also a selection of services produced by other providers. Special emphasis has been placed on presenting data about service point accessibility features and shortcomings.

The Service Map is based on data in the Helsinki area Service Point Registry. Other data sources include OpenStreetMap, open transport data from HSL, with event data from Linked Events.

The service is a responsive HTML5 application with all the application logic implemented client-side. The data used by the application tier is fetched from RESTful APIs.
